Many wars and hostilities in Europe would cease if only people recognized that they share a common past. A past that not only includes differences and oppression of minorities , but also a common cultural heritage.
It is obvious that we share a development of technology, democracy and ideas. But cultural personalities and events are always claimed to belong to the nation from where they evolved. Nations claim the ownership of these writers, artists, composers and designers. The truth is that everybody lends inspiration from each other and all culture will mix and transform ideas and expressions.
We see this clearly in architecture and designs. What we for example see in the tiniest design like Antique Necklaces to great buildings like cathedrals are all inspired from trends that covers most European countries.
Design from the Etruscans, Greeks and Romans share elements, which we still find in jewelry today. The important influence is not particularly the designs in themselves but the transformation of a feeling, an interpretation and a style that turn on our world charm.
